My title is Megan, and I dwell in Kentish City, North London, England. After we moved into our home, our backyard was a complete shambles—crumbly brick partitions, damaged trellises, and rotted decking. We now have a bit oasis with a mix of formal planting and vivid colours.
Although normally grown for its colourful foliage, coral bells (Heuchera hybrids, Zones 5–9) has clouds of small flowers that may be fairly pretty as properly.
It’s arduous to beat an ideal dahlia (Dahlia hybrid, Zones 8–11 or as a young bulb) with its layer upon layer of excellent white petals unfolding. Dahlias are equally lovely within the backyard or in a vase indoors.
The darkish container makes these lovely white lobelias (Lobelia erinus, Zones 10–11 or as an annual) appear even brighter.
The backyard is residence not simply to lovely flowers—these foxes benefit from the area as properly! I hope they do their half to maintain hungry rabbits and different pests away.
Cranesbill, or hardy geranium (Geranium hybrid, Zones 5–9) is a superb perennial. It’s straightforward to take care of and has clouds of gorgeous blue flowers.
This attractive array of tulips is combined with heuchera and primroses (Primula hybrid, Zones 3–8).
